Heather
Hi! I am Heather Lynn Head. I have lived in Ramona my entire life
(subtract the three months of living in the dorms at UCSD).
God is number one in my life, and I am striving to live for Him
more every day. I absolutely love my husband, my family, and my
friends. I love being married (I have been happily since October
13, 2007) and getting to spend time with those I love.
I am currently attending Palomar community college and finishing
up 2 AA's in child development- One for being a preschool teacher
and one for being a special education preschool teacher. I plan to
transfer to SDSU in Fall 2010 and begin my upper division classes.
I am majoring in child development, mainly so I can help children
and learn how to raise my children more effectively in the
future.
How we met (as written by Heather):
I made a promise when I started high school that I wouldn't date
until after I graduated. I accomplished my goal and then prayed
that God would bless me for waiting, and bless me with a Godly man.
I never thought I would find anyone, that I thought I was destined
to be alone forever. I was wrong.
Nicholas and I had been acquaintances for several years through
the church. We started talking when I was working in the Higher
Grounds Coffee Shop and he was running sound at Summit. He would
come up every week and just talk to me about random topics and
always order a coffee, asking me to make it. I was very oblivious
to the fact that he liked me, and thought we were just joking
around. We started emailing each other back and forth between
Sundays and on September 1st, 2006 he asked me out for the first
time.
We had our first "date" 2 days later at Islands with his family
and our great friends Heather and Jason Winters. From then on, we
were inseparable. I went away to college 16 days later, but by
God's grace and Nicholas' patience we were able to stay together
and grow even closer. Even after only 1 month of dating, I knew he
was the one for me. He felt the same way shortly thereafter, and on
April 23rd, 2007 he proposed to me at Disneyland. We are meant for
each other, and I love that I get to spend the rest of my life with
the man of my dreams.

Nicholas
Hi, my name is Nicholas Andrew Head. I too have spent my entire
life in Ramona (unless you count a short time in Poway as a
baby...)
I was blessed to be raised in a household that placed importance
in high moral values, and knowing what is right and what is wrong.
This led me to the Truth, that Jesus died for my sins, and because
of that, I can have eternal life in Him. I am a follower of Christ,
first and foremost.
I am currently working fulltime as a programmer/web developer
for LewisTech, a job which I love and am very blessed to have.
How we met (as written by Nicholas):
I had dated in high school briefly, and knew I hadn't found
something of substance. I promised to myself, and to God, that I
would wait on His timing, and never "settle" for second best. This
was very difficult, as I'm sure we all can attest to. But I stuck
with it, and eventually (randomly) discovered that the woman I was
destined to be with was always near me. I just had to get the
courage to talk to her!
I have been attending Mountain View Community Church since I was
about 6 or 7 years old. As I was growing up involved in the church,
Heather was growing up too and attending, albeit slightly younger
(her and I are seperated by six years.) It wasn't until 2006 when I
finally "noticed" that she was all grown up, working in the Summit
service coffee shop.
I would flirt and talk with her, thinking, "Yeah right, like I
have a chance." After striking up further conversation over e-mail,
we officially started to "date" on Sept. 1st, 2006. It was actually
less like "dating" and more just being each other's best
friend.
After a quick month, I knew Heather was the one I wanted to
marry. After some help from her friends (thanks Jessica and
Melissa!) I was able to find the perfect ring for Heather, and
surprised her on April 23rd, 2007 by proposing in front of
Disneyland.
I love being married to Heather. As cheesy as it sounds, she
does complete me, and make me a better man. I never thought I'd
ever find someone like this (hey, just ask my friends about my
whining.) But this is proof that God has a plan for everything.
.. And they lived happily ever after
